Staffing specialist takes Rotary service oath

With a solid round of applause from her new Putnam Rotary family, Shelly S. Kelley took the oath of "service above self" from Past District Governor Mary E. Keely.

She received the official Rotary pin from David Williams. who sponsored her for membership.

She is sales director for United Talent Staffing Services, serving Kanawha, Putnam and Cabell counties. She and spouse Michael are at home in Charleston.

Kelley holds a bachelors degree in child development and a masters in community health promotion.

In addition to the opportunities for community service, Kelley looks forward to "networking" with community business leaders through Rotary.

As a Rotarian, Kelley will be visiting at least nine clubs in the Kanawha Valley alone, and Putnam is centrally located.

But also, Mary Keely reminded her, she now has joined with 1.2 million Rotarians in 34,000 clubs around the world.

For the immediate future, however, Putnam's newest member will be offering career development and staffing services through clubs in the Tri-State.
