Two pledge 'Service Above Self'

Linda Tennant and Denise Springer took the pledge today for 'Service Above Self' as members of Putnam Rotary. The formal pledges were administered by Mary Keely, Rotary's District Governor.

Springer, a native of St. Albans, graduated from Texas A & M, and works as Marketing Director for Randolph Engineering. She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and NOW, the Chamber's Network of Women.

Springer enjoys golf, swimming and fund-raising. She is at home in Hurricane and attends Teays Velley Presbyterian Church.

She was sponsored for Rotary by David Williams.

Linda K. Tennant enjoys skiing and West Virginia history. A native of Monongalia County, she is a seventh generation descendant of Mon pioneer Richard Tennant.

Linda holds the M. S. in Engineering from Fairmont State and has a career of 25 years in environmental safety.

A Putnam resident since 1998, Linda manages Simonetti Enterprise, providing engineering, regulatory and program assistance. She is interested in community service. She believes that "community is what makes our nation strong," and sees opportunities for service through Rotary.

At home in Hurricane, Linda Tennant was sponsored for Rotary membership by Denise Springer.
