Five months ago, Putnam Rotary awarded a special grant to "Arts in Action" to help with costs for installation of flooring in a new Hurricane studio. The studio is now in use by several programs sponsored by the organization.
Rotarians today received a special thank you from Arts in Action with a special card which measured 12 x 18 inches. The card included a composite of twenty-eight photographs of various program participants, many in "performance mode."
"They had trouble finding an envelope for the card," joked Joni Prince, founding director of the organization.
"We are ecstatic about the expansion" said Prince. "Our mission is to make a significant impact in the lives of students and families through the arts. The expansion allows students an opportunity to have hands on experience in a wide variety of art methods, find their passion and develop their artistic gift to their highest potential in a Christian atmosphere."
