Putnam Rotary has entertained visitors from the opposite side of the world -- from Australia, England, Japan, Uganda. But today's visitor didn't have so far to come.
George D. Six visited the club today and he is currently president of St. Albans Rotary. (No, that's not St. Albans, Vermont; thats the city formerly known as Coalsmouth on the Great Kanawha, just up the road.)
A 1971 graduate of WVU with a degree in electrical engineering, Six began his Rotary service career in Pt. Pleasant in 1975. Working his way up the Kanawha with American Electric Power, he transferred to Putnam Rotary and was a member here from 1996 to 2001. That year, Gorge transferred to the St. Albans club when he bacame manager of the AEP Simulator Learning Center. He retired from AEP three years ago.
Six is president of the St. Albans group this year, a responsibility for which he prepared as president of the Pt. Pleasant Rotary in 1983-84.
In addition George Six keeps theweb site for St. Albans Rotary, and he manages the web site for RI District 7550.
