For almost two years now, the weekly meetings of Putnam Rotary have been at Wellington's in the Scarlet Oaks Country Club at Poca.

A few weeks ago, however, the owners of the restaurant, Tom and Barbara Grant, announced that they will be retiring, and there are no plans to continue their operation of dining and catering services.

The Charleston Gazette reported (March 19), "The restaurant . . . has specialized in fine French cuisine for 25 years, and has been one of the state's most prestigious restaurants and catering businesses. . . . The Poca restaurant has about 30 employees and 10 part-time employees."

Beginning next Tuesday, March 30, Putnam Rotary will meet in the First State Bank Community Room at 3754 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane.

Meals will be catered by Sugar Shack.
