Glen R. Gibbs has been active in Putnam Rotary for several weeks, participating in club projects and attending the weekly luncheon meetings at Scarlet Oaks Country Club.

Today he took the official pledge for community serviice and received a membership pin.

Recently retired, Gibbs said that he wanted to become more involved in community activities and the service to others which is possible through Rotary projects.

At Poca Middle School a week ago, Gibbs was on hand to help distribute thesaurus dictionaries to sixth-graders.

In his leisure hours, Gibbs' interests include boating, woodworking and gardening. He and spouse Cynthia are at home in Nitro. They have a son and daughter and grandchildren.
