She is District Governor Elect for the 28 Rotary Clubs in southern West Virginia, and that may be one of the reasons that Putnam's Mary Keely has a keen interest in leadership development.

When Keely called for characteristics of leaders at the Scarlet Oaks luncheon meeting, the adjectives came in faster than anyone could keep up.

That may not have been so notable, however, since most members of her audience were serving in executive leadership positions in the community.
