Four inducted into Rotary ranks

As District Governor Nominee Mary Keely and Putnam Rotarian Mike Herron enumerated their rights and responsibilities, four new members were inducted into the organization today and pledged "service above self."
Those taking the oath included Marilyn Pemberton, Joni Prince, Linda Williams and Tammy Meiners.
Marilyn Pemberton is a field executive with the Black Diamond Council of the Girl Scouts. Pemberton took the initial service pledge several months ago, and already has stepped up to serve as an officer next year in the Putnam club. Her outside interests include golf, reading, collecting bears, and Marshall and OSU football. She is active in the Cross of Grace Lutheran Church. Pemberton's application for membership was sponsored by Cheryl Rust. Joni Prince is Executive Director of Arts in Action, the Christian Academy of Performing Arts in Hurricane. In the new fiscal year, Prince will be serving on committees for service projects and meeting programs. She was sponsored by Chet Marshall. Linda Williams is Events Coordinator with Prestera Center, working from its Development Office in Teays Valley. Special interests include organizing, church, decorating and reading. She was sponsored for membership in Rotary by Rev. Dr. Melissa Pratt.
Tammy Meiners is a Senior Administrator with Appalachian Power with an office at the John Amos Power Plant in Winfield. She is active as a member of Toastmasters, WV Society of CPAs, American Society of CPAs, American Accounting Association, Institute of Management Accountants, and the American Society of Women Accountants. Leisure interests include golf, bowling and writing. Sponsored for membership by Clinton "Bud" Beaver, Meiners will be serving next year on membership and leadership development.
