UC basketball team
at Keely Ranch

Most college students go home or leave campus for the Christmas and New Year holidays, but it's work time for the University of Charleston, Lady Golden Eagles. With Coach Sherry Winn and her women's basketball program there is no timeout.

But the cafeterias and other eating places on campus are closed during the holidays. That's why Putnam Rotary last week played host for the second year in a row to the team at the Rustic Highlands ranch of Bob and Mary Keely.

No one left hungary at the Lady Eagles foodfest, and several Rotarians were ready to hit the hardwood.

Other Rotarins admitted that their prime days for basketball were gone, but they planned to continue to offer plenty of encouragement from the stands.
