Candidates for all contested State Legislative Districts and Putnam County offices have been invited to address the public and respond to questions taken from the audience attending the forum. Candidates expected to attend include those running for State Legislature House of Delegates (Districts 13 & 14); State Senate (4th District); Circuit Court, Division 1 Judgeship; Magistrate; County Commission; Circuit Clerk; Sheriff; and Assessor.

In November we will have another opportunity to vote for the leaders of our country, state and county. I have always urged you to make every effort to educate yourself on the candidates you are about to vote for. The Putnam County Chamber of Commerce and The Putnam County Rotary are co-sponsoring a Candidate Forum, October 7th 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club.

This is the first time we are moving to an evening event. We are hoping to draw a larger crowd and give you the voter more of an opportunity to hear from candidates. There will be opposed candidates for county offices and legislative (House of Delegates and Senate).

Please make a point to attend and get your questions answered before you go to the polls and vote for the people that will be leading our county and state for next two to four years.
