Lisa L. Smith

Lisa L. Smith serves as an ombudsman specializing in small business matters for BrickStreet Insurance. She was previously employed by the former West Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission and provided up-to-date and timely information to business and civic organizations on the transition from the former state agency to the new private mutual company. Since that transition on January 1, 2006, she helps develop BrickStreet's relationships with stakeholders by acting as a public liaison.

She formerly served as outreach coordinator with the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce where she assisted in the development and implementation of Chamber committees and promoted Chamber membership and growth.

The role of ombudsman was created to expand communication and improve customer service with small businesses, medical providers, injured workers, and legislators. Lisa is responsible for providing information and resolution when specific workers' compensation issues and concerns arise.

She is a 2003 graduate of Leadership West Virginia and is a native of Charleston, West Virginia. She is married to Rod Smith, and they have one daughter Lucy Quarrier.
