Herman L. Dixon, Regional Field Representative for State Farm Insurance, pledged to Putnam Rotarians today a 150% match for "Happy Dollars" raised to support adult literacy.

Putnam Rotary has offered "Happy Dollars" to support local projects since fall 2003.

The commitment today by Dixon, who is a Paul Harris Fellow, represents an additional three dollars for every two dollars raised by the club for Literacy Volunteers of Putnam County, a favorite Rotary charity.

Rotary recently gave a new laptop computer to the local literacy program. Also a gift of 250 dictionaries was presented as a Christmas gift to literacy students.
