Rotary boosts bathhouse
for Camp High-Tor

September 28, 2004

The Tri-County YMCA took a giant step today toward the realization of a long-sought-after bath house for children at Camp High-Tor off North Poplar Fork Road.

Shown above, Cathy Stark (left), Executive Driector of the Tri-County YMCA, accepted a check for $8,500 toward construction of the new facility from Rotary president Don Broyles.

Total cost of the project has been estimated at $20,000, but the gift by the service-oriented Rotary Club will enable work to begin.

Abandoned as a church camp in recent years and now operated by the Tri-County YMCA, High-Tor has been adopted as a major project for community service by Rotary.
