Rotary District 7550

Keith Blankenship is a lifetime resident of Southern West Virginia. Keith joined the Rotary Club of Matewan in 1997. Keith’s first exposure to Rotary was in 1979 during his senior year in high school through the youth exchange program, when the Rotary Club of Matewan sponsored a student from Denmark.

Keith served as Club President of the Rotary Club of Matewan in 1999-2000, during which time the club received the Outstanding Club Award, Best Newsletter Award, Most Improved Attendance Award, and Keith received the President of the Year Award for District 7550. He has also served his club as a member of the Board of Directors, the Club Foundation Chairperson, Club Internet Communications Officer, as well as serving on various other committees. He has served District 7550 as an Assistant District Governor with DG Ike Smith in 2002-2003 and with DG Vinnie Kudva in 2003-2004. Keith is a Paul Harris Fellow and a Sustaining Member of the Rotary Foundation and has served on many committees for District 7550.

His many community activities have included serving on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Valley Automotive Aftermarket Association, Director of the Matewan Development Center, Executive Director of the Magnolia Fair, business partner with Matewan High School, member of the Hatfield & McCoy Reunion Committee, Tug Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of the Matewan Fire Department, and President of the Matewan Community Action Team.

Keith graduated from Matewan/Magnolia High School and attended Marshall University, where he met his wife, Paula, who is also a member of the Rotary Club of Matewan. Keith and Paula founded A-A Tire & Parts, Inc. in 1982, which currently serves Southern West Virginia with multiple locations.
